The Gospel of Jesus's Wife

http://www.livescience.com/34229-what-does-the-gospel-of-jesus-s-wife-say.html

I was watching the Smithsonian Channel today and this was one of the topics. As the scholars and priests debated the authenticity of it, I began to wonder, what does the validity of this finding prove towards the authenticity of The Bible or if  Jesus was  just a good teacher, rather than Him also being the divine Son of God? I began to recount anything that I had ever read in the Bible regarding Jesus and if He were married or not. There is nothing that states that He was or was not. Then I thought of Peter. It clearly states that Peter had a Mother-In-Law.Simon was the original name of Peter, before Jesus renamed him Cephas which is translated to Peter.

KJV : MARK 1:29 Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. 31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.

This showed me that even though Peter had a Mother-In-Law, there is nothing spoken of regarding his wife or if they had children or not. If this is the case, then I suppose it could have been the case for Jesus as well. So, I still wondered, why then is this made into such a big deal? Whether He was married or single, what does that have to do with the message of Love and salvation that Jesus came to share with us?

I feel the first thing we should do to find Truth,  is take what we know from the Bible. This is a verse of Jesus speaking in regards to marriage:

1 TIM 4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Having read this, we know that Jesus felt marriage was something to be thankful for.It also shows us that He knew some would eventually forbid marriage for other's, as if it is something unholy or a sin.  Perhaps something  seen as a  type of hindrance for one set  aside as being holy or consecrated to God. Of course He knew, for God revealed it to Him and He has revealed it to us.

So if Marriage is something to be thankful for and Christ came to be like us in every way,  except that He was without sin, what does it matter if He had a wife and children or not? If He had sexual intercourse within the bonds of Marriage, it would not have been a sin for Him to do so. The Truth is that sex is something that is beautiful and not dirty as some would have been made to believe. It is not simply and act to multiply the Earth. He created it for the enjoyment of two married lovers. Anyone can read the Book Of Solomon and see this. Sex is a beautiful expression of the love that married people have together.

We unable to know for sure if the Gospel of Jesus's Wife is an ancient writing that is true and was hidden for selfish purpose of religion or a fake created to give someone fame.   What we can be sure of  is that Jesus said that some would be tempted to take words from His Book as well add to them. Where there is temptation, there will be those that fall.  He also said that all that was hidden would be revealed. So, it should be as no surprise that we will be finding more and more things that were kept out of the Bible,  that are in fact authentic. Let us be at peace Father with the things that do not yet know once exposed. Please direct us to Your Truth and allow us to take what we need to and discard the rest. In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!
